The Cookery School is currently closed, but from 12th April some classes will be going ahead, with the school re-opening in full from the 17th May.  This is in line with guidelines from the Government and the Local Authority.

Are you afraid of preparing and cooking fish & shellfish? Do you want new inspiration?

During this class we will introduce you to sustainability of seafood; you will be given your own ‘Fish to Buy’ guide.
You will learn about the different categories of fish and what to look for when buying fresh fish and shellfish.

This class will give you the opportunity to gain confidence in gutting and filleting fish, de-veining prawns and prepping scallops.
We will demo prepping a crab and demo smoking a mackerel.

Dishes sampled on the day will be:

  • Baked Lemon Sole
  • Goan Fish Curry
  • Smoked Haddock & Leek Chowder
  • Garlic scallops,
  • Thai king prawns.

All easy recipes that you will be able to prepare with confidence in your own kitchen.

We offer lots of tastings and you will take home a gutted mackerel, filleted flat fish and a recipe pack.
