A brilliant morning on the Fish & Shellfish course yesterday. Learned so much with a great bunch of people (thanks Janet and Bev), food was amazing and Yvette took the scary away from cooking with fish. Can't wait for another course
We attended the Family cookery session today and we cant thank Andy and his colleagues enough for a fantastic day. We learnt lots of new culinary delights and then got to sit down as a family to share and enjoy.
Andy was very informative, great with the kids and nothing to much trouble. We are already looking into our next class to attend, thankyou!

Had a wonderful afternoon with my friends attending the basic bread making course. Andy Robertson was a brilliant teacher who kept the session fun and light hearted. We learnt lots and the bread was delicious. We’ve been to a few of these cooking/ baking courses at Harts Barn and always had a thoroughly enjoyable time - highly recommended
What you learn here is really useful, professional advice, from tutors who have a passion about their subject and enjoy passing on their knowledge. The ingredients are great, the finished articles are gorgeous. Oh, the setting is FANTASTIC. A huge full-wall window and a view across the valley with sheep gently grazing on the hillside.
Small group which allowed questions and to get up close to the food! all ingredients provided, tutor knowledgeable and helpful, didn't feel silly!! tasted all food along the way, yummy! able to take some home. would recommend cookery school, lots of great courses.
I was bought a Takeaway Experience (along with Hillside Brewery tour) as a joint birthday present for me and my dad. It's not something I would normally do, but I really enjoyed it. Very relaxed atmosphere, and I learnt some good tips. If you get this as a gift there are several dates throughout the year to choose from with a particular menu.
Elizabeth has absolutely loved attending cookery classes at Harts Barn cookery school since it opened and has gained fantastic skills and inspiration from the wonderful tutors. Today she got a grade 9 (A**) in food nutrition GCSE and we are super proud
We had a fabulous evening at the April supper club last night. A beautifully stocked bar with some super gin, a wonderful meal and a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent value for money - so impressed we’ve already booked for next month
