Join us for an exciting day of Wellbeing. We have teamed up with Melissa Monks to bring you a whole day of cookery, nutrition and yoga.
Mel is a Holistic Lifestyle and Nutrition Coach & has been teaching Yoga for the past 10 years. She supports her clients to improve their health and wellbeing using a holistic approach, which considers mind, body and emotions. Mel discourages faddy diets and quick fixes and instead promotes a lifestyle which encourages eating for optimal health and wellness, as well as enjoyment! She is also a Diabetes Prevention Coach for the NHS and runs group programmes and private sessions for those who are at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The day will begin with refreshing soul lifting hot and cold drinks. Followed by Mindfulness Meditation and a Nutrition for Wellbeing talk, focusing on gut health from Melissa.
After the talk we will have a Refreshment break followed by a hands on Cooking for Health and Fermentation class in the Cookery School including a light vegetarian lunch.
After lunch there will be some free time to talk/walk or shop at the deli and craft centre
In the afternoon Melissa will continue with a second Nutrition for Wellbeing talk, this time focusing on managing blood sugar. This will be followed by a Yoga session for digestive health. The yoga session will be suitable for all levels of experience.
