Cooking with Fire & Smoke - Butchery & BBQ - Pork

We will start with a good coffee and a big bacon bap, to get you ready for the day.

Learn from our Master Butcher, Jon from the Meat Hut Butchers, how to prepare pork joints ready for cooking at home. Jon will start by breaking down half a pig, then Jon will guide you through breaking down a joint of pork into various cuts.

Our fire chef will then demonstrate how to cook a variety of cuts for you to taste, showcasing different cooking techniques on wood & charcoal. You will cook some of your own cuts as well and take some home vacuum packed to store at home.

The class will include discussions on; 

What to ask your butcher for. 

The importance of a temperature probe. 

The importance of rendering.

Low n Slow or Hot n Fast?

Different finishing touches, to include sauces & seasonings 

The class also includes an information pack, unlimited hot drinks, a drink from the bar, and your meats to take home.

Our fully stocked bar & Forest Larder shop will be open to purchase items.
