Cooking with Fire & Smoke – Seasonal Menu – Different Every Month, All Year Round
BBQ season runs from June to May. Cooking with fire and smoke is an all year round thing, and not just for sunny weather! Food cooked over fire and smoke just tastes better!
Classes will take place come rain or shine or snow, please dress for the weather.
Join our Fire Chef in our gorgeous Fire Kitchen, and learn how to cook with local specialty wood and charcoal, each class will be different, and season led. This means each class will use a selection of grills, processes and ingredients. Onsite we have kettle grills, a large firepit with tripod, Dutch ovens, wood fired Earth oven, wood fired Alfa Forni, a bespoke cast iron Fire House, direct, upright & reverse flow smokers, kamado grills, Kadai firebowls, and others.
Each class will cover different topics, recipes & methods. If there was something specific you wanted to learn, please email [email protected] and we may be able to cover it in the class.
You will have a pack with some tips, tricks and basic recipes as well as space to make notes.
As the class is seasonal, the menu and items cooked in each class will vary.
Once finished, the food can be enjoyed together or taken home, or you are welcome to graze throughout the class. As this is an evening class, you are welcome to spend the time after the class eating and socialising, the bar will remain open.
The class includes a drink from our locally stocked bar, which will be open to buy more.
Please be aware that weather can affect the heat from wood and charcoal fires, which means it may take longer than anticipated to complete cooking. If you do need to get away at a certain time, please let Chef know at the start of the class.
We stock some BBQ and grilling items, including lumpwood charcoal, smoking chunks and some accessories, dry rubs & seasonings, which will be available for sale.
