Join us on a day full of fresh air, walking, collecting, making, cooking and eating.
First join us in the Apple Barn to have a welcoming drink and change into suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Meet your guides and tutors for the day, collect baskets and set off for a walk around Harts Barn and its orchards.
As you walk you will be shown a select few plants that are edible but we also encourage you to hear, see, feel and smell your surroundings embracing the joy of the natural world around you.
When you return to the cookery school you will have a warming drink of hot chocolate or a cool drink depending on weather conditions.
Once back we will take time out to use items we have collected to make some delicious food in the cook school to eat in our dining area The Apple Barn.
A few samples of what we make will be: Nettle soup, Weed flatbreads, homemade pot noodles, pesto.
Any leftovers can be taken home
NB: Children under 10 go free...please state in the special requirements box the number of children under 10.
