Spices and Marinades

The spice trail started as early as 2000BC. Cinnamon and cloves being some of the first to be used. Spices are the windows to flavour in any culture and cuisine throughout the world. They make the simplest of ingredients transform to tantalise the taste buds.

In this class we will be making our own spices mixes and some pastes to take home.

There will be a demo of using 1 of the spice mix/paste.

  • Schimi togarashi
  • Massaman paste
  • Za tar
  • Advieh
  • Ras el hanout
  • Garam masala
  • BBQ dry rub
  • Jamaican Jerk

All ingredients, aprons, hot and cold drinks are provided
